Young Iron-Drake

The larger painting (9x11.5 inches, acrylic paints) I made just an hour ago of an Iron-Drake, my new quasi-dragon race of creatures. Now, they look pretty dragon-like, but in terms of the "true dragons" that are always in my drawings and paintings, these guys differ so much in physiology and appearance that they're instead just close relatives. Here's a smaller portrait of an adult one; it also has some information on the difference between the "true dragons" and Iron-Drakes:


This guy's a baby... he still has a yellow tail! (Inspired by copperheads... despite the fact that Iron-Drakes aren't reptiles... )
